Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By using Keepify's storage services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Keepify is a subsidiary of Gather n Trust Group. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Payment Terms

  • Upfront Payment: Payment is required in full before storage services commence.
  • Monthly Billing: Storage fees are billed monthly in advance.
  • Late Payments: Failure to pay on time may result in restricted access to your items and additional fees.
  • Refunds: Storage fees are non-refundable once the storage period has begun.

3. Minimum Storage Period

The minimum storage period is one (1) month. Early termination does not entitle you to a refund for the remainder of the month. If you wish to end your storage agreement, please provide at least 7 days notice before the end of your current billing cycle.

4. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from storage:

  • Illegal or stolen goods
  • Hazardous materials, explosives, or flammable substances
  • Perishable food items
  • Live animals or plants
  • Weapons, firearms, or ammunition
  • Drugs or controlled substances
  • Items that emit strong odors

Keepify reserves the right to refuse or terminate storage of any items that violate these restrictions.

5. Access Policy

  • Standard Access: Requires 24 hours advance notice.
  • Urgent Access: Available for an additional fee (from R100). Priority access to your items within a shorter timeframe.
  • Access Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (unless otherwise arranged).

6. Pickup and Delivery

  • Pickup and delivery services are available at additional cost (R150 - R800 depending on location and volume).
  • Scheduling is subject to availability and requires advance booking.
  • You must ensure items are properly packed and ready for collection at the scheduled time.
  • Keepify is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control.

7. Liability Limitation

While Keepify takes all reasonable precautions to protect your stored items:

  • Keepify's liability for loss or damage is limited to the replacement value of items, up to a maximum of R5,000 per incident unless additional insurance is purchased.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, or circumstances beyond our control.
  • We are not liable for damage to items that were improperly packed or not disclosed to us.
  • High-value items (jewelry, electronics, artwork, etc.) should be declared and insured separately.

8. Pricing Changes

Keepify reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing customers will be given at least 30 days notice before any price changes take effect. Continued use of our services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

9. Abandonment of Goods

Items left in storage for more than 60 days past the end of a paid storage period, without payment or communication, may be considered abandoned. Abandoned items may be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding fees.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
